To make any place green is not so hard or time consuming but it takes the attitude to that thing. In addition, greening is a way to live a life, to cherish a life, to appreciate the environment friendliness. So gotta bored of regular campus hither thither, friends seems to be lethargic, same old chores of credit scores, lectures, old sports, competitions , ohh…! All that coming and going with no cause. Came to university for being a gentleperson, good scores, campus selection, sweet married life, fat pay packet, and retirement a simple unmarked life.

To make your campus green you need not to be fully involved but you need some smart strategies. You have …that is good you have GREENNEXT . You can follow simple strategies to make your campus green. So you are ready let go……with the tips and ideas.
1. Meeting should be held to Draft and Implement a Campus greening plan.
2. Choose a committee of professors/ lecturers if they are available, if not then consortium of student headed by principle or dean will work.
3. The consortium of student will be consisting of a representative from each class regardless of faculty in Campus greening project.
4. Each representative will be responsible to monitor the class environment friendly activities. The representative can delegate the work distribution like keeping campus clean, usage of biodegradable products (stationary) less use of paper work, water consumption, and recycling management, Energy Management, Campus greening knowledge management. The positions for these work heads will be fixed, means the student will change but the project once started will keep on continuing, and it will be necessary for the students entering that class will have to bear the particular responsibility delegated.
5. The representative will be responsible for keeping record of the Campus greening initiatives and the progress, which is to be reported on weekend meetings. Every one has to donate 5-10 hours a week for environmental care and duties. (Of course this can be credited in their annual educational scores)
6. The monthly critic award can be organized by mutual funding or asking the funds from the sponsors, donors and corporate involvement (This will bring the off campus communities and persons to feel uplifted that they are contributing in the environment friendliness in some or other way). Similarly annual awards can be organized on representative basis, group basis, and final award for Chief Contribution
7. The equipment repairing and maintenance can be handed over to student prior to this they can be given a training how to trouble shoot the simple block outs only when the replacement or major repair is needed in Campus greening then only the outside repair person or services will be hired.
8. The community sharing among the colleges and universities can be started to speed up the environmental protection plans . Like a non-technical college student can ask for the expertise with the technical student or staff for increasing the environment friendliness in his group or class.
9. University intranet (strictly educational community and environmental problems) can be established to find and get answers by posting questions and getting the answers. College community forums are best for Campus greening .
10. The Dean can form a special group that can deploy their expertise in providing the environment care consultancy to local masses through Campus greening .
11. Workshop can be held in association with Interuniversity Consortiums to support the other colleges’ communities to improve their environmental performances.
12. The canteen caretakers can be strictly made to work according to the Campus greening norms. They can be directed to sell and serve only the organic recipes in biodegradable packets. The fuel they should use is either natural gas or biofuel. A solar Owen or solar furnace can be designed for heating purposes an alternate to oil fired furnace or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).
13. Electricity in the Campus greening can be generated by installing the solar panels, wind mills etc, with the help of corporate sponsorship and help or by developing self and simple techniques.
14. The Campus greening is not a very cumbersome process only a slight care and simple sense of responsibility that in whatever way, whichever way if I am going to care for environment accordingly with the plans of community irrespective of the role or the award I am being awarded , then I am proud to be ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY.

A constant brainstorming and idea sessions at the weekend meetings can develop simpler techniques, as the practical problems somewhat differ than ideal problems. There are many environmental care organizations and programs, which are also helpful like LEEDS of USGBC, Energy Star of Federal Government, Green Building of NESEA, GBI, ECBCS and many more.Campus greening should be carried out on strict basis because education and its impact are deep rooted. When a graduate leaves the college at least he/she is environment friendly, then only we can hope to have sustainable healthy life.
